A look into the human mind shown through google searches. Rachel has entered into Google variations of ‘Why’ questions. Examples include Why do?, Why Can’t I? and Why Doesn’t?. These get search results such as Why do we Dream?, Why can’t I concentrate?, Why Doesn’t tarzan have a beard?. I thought this zine was a fun idea, simply executed and has a lot of potential for expansion.
Notes From the Cleaner is a Jif-coloured zine for your coffee-table collection. A zine containing stark photos of passive-aggressive signs left around an office from the workplace cleaner, I thought this was a fun concept. There is so much potential for the subject matter to be utterly unfortunate and/or hilarious (think Engrish or “Unnecessary” “Quotes”), but unfortunately I didn’t feel it quite delivered for me on that front. Perhaps the zine itself is an exercise in passive aggressive notes (a passive-aggressive catalogue of passive-aggression, so meta), to be left at locations the original signs? Or it could just be cataloguing the unfortunate design choices made by those at the other end of the design industry.
